Friday Fungi Forage

Join us for a fun two-hour mushroom foraging experience for beginners in the Aberfeldy area, exploring the fascinating world of fungi and learning about what’s edible… and what to avoid at all costs! Led by experienced mushroom forager Lilla Valter, we’ll head out on a gentle walk to discover some of the fungi growing in our local woods.

Community Orchard Grand Opening

Come along and celebrate the grand opening of Aberfeldy’s new Community Orchard with an afternoon of all things fruity! Bring your apples and pears (and containers!) for pressing, or simply come along and lend a hand. Enjoy poetry and live music from 2 pm, plus tea and cake galore. We’ll also be opening the new Star Garden. A relaxed afternoon to celebrate growing, sharing and community. Everyone is welcome, and there’s no need to book.

 

Foraging Sunday

Join us for Foragers' Sunday. Explore, gather and learn about foraging together! Join the wonderful Charlotte Flower, with her extensive foraging knowledge, for a walk to discover what’s out there to eat at this time of year. Along the way, you’ll learn more about the wild foods growing around us, with plenty of time to chat, ask questions and share knowledge.

 

Fungi: The Web of Life

Open Garden Gates

A number of our gardeners from the Growing in Aberfeldy group will be opening their productive gardens for visits. This is a great chance for people to speak to them about what they do, the highs and lows and, in particular, for newbie growers to get support and advice about starting out. There is no need to book, just turn up and enjoy.
