Film: The Salt Path

Gillian Anderson and Jason Isaacs take you on a heartwarming cinematic journey, The Salt Path, based on the bestselling book by Raynor Winn. A beautiful, life-affirming true story of husband and wife, Raynor and Moth Winn’s 630-mile trek along the beautiful but rugged Cornish, Devon and Dorset coastline.
Stay after the film for a discussion led by writer and walker Linda Cracknell. What are your walking aspirations and frustrations? How does moving outdoors connect you, help you heal or make you feel?

Open Gate Festival 2025
August 29 to September 7, various locations around Highland Perthshire
There will be lots of open gardens and farms, workshops, talks and events running throughout the week - including a foraging meal, cheese making workshop, compost making workshop, fungi forays, growing food and growing a food business talk, film nights and the community feast.
Open Gate Festival is part of our 'Eat Real Food' programme, encouraging and enabling people to eat better, grow food or eat local food where possible, and understand the link between food, health and climate. It offers our community the chance to learn and engage with these important issues.

Stride for Life
Every Thursday, 10.30am
Meet at Aberfeldy Information Centre, The Square PH15 2DD
If you're looking for some support to get more active, or just fancy a walk with company, then Stride for Life walks could be right up your path. Led by volunteers (including Healthiest Town's active health link worker Sheila Wilson, the sessions are free and suitable for everyone - and the group can split if someone wants a short power walk and others want a simple stroll. Accessible to all fitness levels and any ability/disability.

Dull to Boring 12,000-mile walking challenge - they did it!
They made it - the Dull to Boring 12,000-mile virtual team challenge is now complete with the team covering on foot the distance between the village of Dull, in Perth and Kinross, and its twin town in Oregon in the US, Boring.
Launched in April, 40participants added their miles to the online map, and 28,845,117 steps later, they completed the challenge on October 6.
